The Data Center Conference 2026 in Antibes set the perfect stage summer sun, the stunning French coastline, and an atmosphere that naturally brought out the best in every conversation. What unfolded over the course of the event was far more than a pleasant escape from the everyday: it was a genuine deep-dive into the forces reshaping the global data center industry.

Discussions ranged across some of the most relevant topics of our time from the latest technical developments in data center design and operations, to a notable shift in location strategy as operators increasingly look beyond traditional markets. International permitting processes took centre stage as well, reflecting the reality that expansion today demands navigating complex regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions. The overarching theme, however, was clear: it’s time to step outside the German data center bubble and engage with the broader international picture.

The event lived up to its promise of connecting the entire ecosystem investors, operators, suppliers, engineers, technology companies and policymakers all in one place. Because innovation only creates lasting value when the right infrastructure, capital and expertise come together. Antibes delivered exactly that environment.

And of course the setting, the drinks, the dinners, and the conversations with partners and friends along the French coast made every moment memorable.
