A Gathering of Minds at the Heart of the Data Center Industry
The GDA Conference 2026 in Bad Vilbel once again proved to be one of the most valuable events in the German data center calendar. Members, partners, and industry experts came together for a day of sharp insights, meaningful exchanges, and forward looking dialogue.
The agenda delivered on all fronts. Expert presentations tackled some of the industry’s most pressing challenges, chief among them the growing problem of power capacity distribution and the introduction of new allocation procedures that could reshape how operators secure grid access. Further sessions explored the evolving relationship between data center operators and municipalities, highlighting the need for a more collaborative, future oriented approach to co-existence and planning. Rounding out the programme was a candid look at the widening gap between data center supply and demand , a topic that resonated strongly across the room, alongside a series of further stimulating contributions that sparked lively debate.
Beyond the conference floor, the event offered exactly what makes these gatherings irreplaceable: excellent food, genuine conversations, and the chance to reconnect with partners, clients, and suppliers in a relaxed setting. The GDA Dinner served as the undisputed highlight of the evening, a fitting close to a day well spent.
